The northern region of Kashmir's Baramulla district, particularly Gulmarg, was blessed with a blanket of pristine white snow, captivating the hearts of visitors and locals alike with its ethereal beauty.

According to reports from the Meteorological Department (MeT), Gulmarg witnessed a snowfall accumulation of 1.5 cm, casting a magical spell on the surroundings and leaving visitors joyous and delighted. The charm of Gulmarg, enhanced by the freshly fallen snow, drew admiration from all who beheld its enchanting vistas.

Meanwhile, across Srinagar and other regions of Kashmir, light to moderate rainfall graced the landscapes, bringing a welcome respite from the preceding dry spell. The MeT office reported precipitation figures for various areas, including Srinagar, Qazigund, Pahalgam, Kupwara, Kokernag, and Gulmarg, showcasing the extent of the rainfall's reach and impact on the region's weather patterns.

The overcast skies and the forecast of continued rain or snow until March 26th, followed by intermittent light precipitation thereafter, added to the mystique of Kashmir's weather. While night temperatures experienced a noticeable drop, remaining above freezing levels, day temperatures also witnessed a significant decrease, offering a refreshing coolness to the air.

As the night temperatures dipped, with Srinagar recording a low of 7.2 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg touching -0.5 degrees Celsius, residents and tourists were advised by the MeT office to prepare for potential further precipitation and temperature fluctuations in the days ahead. This advisory serves as a reminder for travelers planning a visit to the enchanting land of Kashmir to pack their rain essentials and embrace the unpredictable yet mesmerizing charm of nature's dance in this picturesque paradise.
